Michelle graduated from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. She began her career in the investment and insurance industry in 2006, obtaining her Series 7 Securities License, Series 66 Uniform Combined State Law License, and Minnesota Life and Health Insurance licenses. In 2012, Michelle purchased The Sherwin Group upon the retirement of it’s founder, Dan Sherwin.
Michelle values the trust that clients hold with her. She is passionate about getting to know her clients and their families, and creating long-term relationships with them. This serves as the foundation for her goal – to provide highly personalized and innovative strategies that help clients protect, preserve, and grow their wealth in these ever-changing financial climates. Michelle enjoys a passion for studying economic trends, as well as researching, analyzing, and problem-solving various investment strategies and methods. As an independent advisor, Michelle has access to an unlimited offering of financial solutions to assist clients in the management of their money. Michelle desires to help others achieve their financial objectives while employing investment strategies that are explainable, consistent and attentive to costs. Michelle understands the challenges facing individuals as they strive to identify and prepare for all sorts of life challenges whether managing current cash flow, planning for retirement, funding education, or providing for family members.
Michelle, a Minnesota native, and her husband Rich have two beautiful daughters. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening, watching HGTV, working out, and playing with her dog, a Yorkshire terrier, named Jack. Michelle’s caring nature and positive attitude translate from her personal life to her professional life, giving a new meaning to the term “customer service”.
